santa barbara

First escape of the New Year.. Santa Barbara!

The first weekend of the New Year was spent in beautiful picturesque Santa Barbara. The boyfriend and I took an overnight trip to celebrate our anniversary. It was a short but sweet trip and one that made us only want to visit again and again!

Once there, we had a craving for some fish & chips and clam chowder so after checking into our hotel (Hotel Indigo SB) we made our way to the harbor. We found Brophy Bros, a restaurant and clam bar overlooking the bay.

With our bellies satisfied, we decided to take a walk by the water to our next destination -- wine tasting at Deep Sea Tasting Room on Stearns Wharf. They have very reasonable tasting prices and the best panoramic ocean view.

The next day, we found ourselves heading to Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore for their Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet. A beautiful setting for a special celebration, it was the perfect way to enjoy our surroundings and each other. Not to mention their buffet was ridiculously amazing, one of the best I've ever had. So many selections to choose from, all wonderfully prepared and delicious!

After brunch, we roamed the grounds for a bit to explore the rest of the resort. It is a sprawling, luxurious hotel rich in character -- definitely one that resonated the SoCal vibe very well.

Looking forward to many more escapes to SB this year!
