tween chucks

I've had these Converse Chuck Taylors since my freshman year of high school...

...Which makes them 11 years old. They would be in 6th grade if they were humans. (Does anybody still use the word "tween" for that demographic?)

I can get very easily sentimental, especially over clothing or shoes that I associate with a lot of good memories. That definitely makes it harder for me to get rid of clothing, but it also gives me a chance to try and reintegrate some of my older, more treasured pieces into my current wardrobe.

This look gives me all kinds of '90s grunge inspired vibes. I guess since my birthday is coming up next month, I'm getting a little nostalgic for the good old days.

I've become a fan of tying a blouse around my waist as a way to accessorize to any casual outfit. Funny to me that this trend used to be seen as a total no-no, but if it's done right, it can accentuate your waist and add a nice pop of color or pattern to your outfit. Even Beyonce, her Royal Fierceness, is doing it, so you know it's good.
