layers for later

In San Francisco, it's always sensible to wear multiple layers during the day, since the weather can be so unpredictable.

In this city, even if it's really warm during the day, once the sun goes down it can get so chilly! The current staple piece in my wardrobe is this comfy oversized black sweater I got from Forever21. Because I'm still a student, my budget for clothing isn't that large, so I try to be as frugal as possible. This sweater has kept me warm on the days when I come out of work after dusk and it's colder than expected; plus it came at an affordable price for me.

Since the sweater is of a heavier fabrication, I paired it with a light and airy Zara basic blouse that I got a few seasons ago. I'm all about having a couple simple, classic pieces that can be worn for a long time, as opposed to a large amount of too trendy clothing that won't work later on if my tastes change.
