the skinny on wide leg pants

During my recent trip to LA, I stopped by a cute little thrift store in Silver Lake and found this gem of a wide leg pantsuit.

It looks like the top is separate but it's actually attached to the pant, which is so much more convenient for me since I don't have think about an outfit - it's a no brainer! My sister on the other hand, took a more conventional approach and paired her sheer polka dotted palazzo pants with a mesh panel top.

On the days when you don't feel like squeezing into a pair of tight skinny jeans, a wide leg pant is a very stylish and sophisticated alternative. They're super comfortable too! The trick is to have your shoes peeking out just a little bit from under the hem, while making sure the pants don't drag on the floor. Pair them with wedges or stilettos for a towering and slimming look!
