fall in california

The beginning of Fall here in SF marks the coming of an Indian summer.
September and October are the warmest months out of the year, so I try to take advantage. Now is one of the few times when wearing shorts is actually sensible and my legs won't turn into icicles. I did have to pair today's shorts with a long kimono from Zara because the nights tend to get a little chilly, but not chilly enough for me to break out a coat.

My cute sister in LA had the same idea today, although she gave it her own unique spin of course. LA is a lot hotter than up here, so her version is a bit more breezy and relaxed. I love how well her light and effortless cardigan pairs with her Soludos lace-ups. I'm almost jealous of how comfortable she looks. Maybe she'll let me borrow the cardigan when I go to visit her next week.
